To deliver our Outreach and partnership work; supporting schools with students who may be experiencing difficulties. The role will involve listening to schools' needs/challenges, providing advice and guidance, and assessing students' needs.
This is an exciting role and one that will enable the successful candidate to help support the students and schools of Mendip that are experiencing challenges.

We are looking for a dynamic, passionate, and skilled member to join our team, who wishes to make a difference to the lives and opportunities of young people and join our successful, supportive, and committed staff. Experience of working with SEMH pupils, working with SENCOs and Teachers, as well as assessing the needs of young people, is essential.
The successful candidate may be working with students throughout Key Stages 1, 2, 3 & 4, working alongside schools to improve support for students as well as supporting mainstream schools to help their students, meeting with support staff, teachers & SENCOs, and co-creating plans for support, as well as working with staff directly. The successful colleague will be a flexible and committed individual, passionate about empowering children and young people.
Tor School is a Pupil Referral Unit that is committed to providing the best education possible for some of the most vulnerable children and young people in the Mendip Area. We support students across the age range from 5 – 16 years, where they have been permanently excluded, have specific SEND, or cannot attend school for medical reasons.
You will be provided with training to support you in this role.
