JOB TITLE: Public Cloud Product Owner SALARY: £90,440 - £106,400 in London, or £76,194 - £89,640 outside of London LOCATION(S): London, Halifax, Leeds, Manchester or Edinburgh HOURS: Full time WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our locations noted above. We are particularly interested in people with experience in one or more of the following: Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Terraform, Azure Arc, Azure Policy, Apigee, Azure API Management, Harness, Backstage, VMware Aria Suite, Kafka and modern middleware or integration products. You will be responsible for the ownership of our product backlogs which contains features, journeys or technology components. You would report into the Lead Product Owner and work collaboratively with the Engineering Lead and Engineers. You'll lead all aspects of the release of incremental value within an overall product, with the primary aim of delivering value to our customers and collaborators by ensuring the team focuses on the right priorities. Responsible for: Development of Team objectives and key results and provides product performance and benefits realisation data Crafts Product vision and strategy Prioritises, refines and handles our Product backlog Defines user-stories to meet customer needs Works closely with our Customer Journey Managers to analyse user stories for customer journey improvements Accountable for Product change governance (e.g., CMIA / SPFIA) and Business Readiness activities (e.g., training and comms, testing and readiness for implementation) for their respective features, journeys or technology components. Plays a role in developing capabilities within their functional area and invests in personal and team growth through mentoring and other informal methods Closely collaborating with Integrators on the delivery of change Delivers against a product budget, performing financial and data analysis Product Delivery Leads improvements on product development process and delivery using new methodology, techniques, tools, etc. Shapes the direction for cross-functional teams to deliver products in innovative delivery methods. Leads the definition, development, and/or delivery of a significant product or service of the organisation's development/engineering programme Offers to ensure alignment with customer requirements, and/or leads a medium-size product development/specialist team. Customer Centricity Promotes value of customer outcomes with team and peers and ensures work efforts achieve these. Anticipates customer's needs and uses customer input and steer to present targeted, coordinated, and outcome-focused solutions and opportunities. Product Ownership Takes ownership of a backlog supported by multiple teams. Delivers simple and sophisticated tech changes to a product and is responsible for its success/failure. Supervises work across the relevant teams and ensures the right tools and processes implemented. Uses experience to prioritise work and lead backlog efficiently and demonstrates a good level of domain knowledge. What you'll need You should have experience of at least two or more of the following: Delivery experience of Cloud related products Google or Azure The Google Cloud Data Science product set Improving the Developer Experience e.g. Streamlining and simplifying the Onboarding and time to being fully productive processes Implementing the processes for a Product Catalogue for consumption by internal engineers An understanding of cloud security best practises and principles Has excellent communication skills for interaction with both our customers and the many Product teams of highly skilled engineers, Ability to work with multiple 3rd Party Vendors, building effective, partnering relationships.
