Job Description
Are you an experienced warehouse professional looking for your next challenge? We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in the efficient control and organisation of our warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth flow of stock and maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implement and manage the Furniture Flex Process/Procedures, ensuring stock is correctly stored and barcoded.
* Assist with stock management, including picking, packing, and putting away stock using manual handling equipment.
* Manage the loading/unloading of goods, ensuring compliance with company and manual handling procedures.
* Maintain accurate stock levels and report any damaged or obsolete goods to the warehouse supervisor and inventory team.
* Ensure all goods are properly coded, packed, and stored securely.
* Handle all goods inward paperwork, ensuring accuracy and timely entry into the system.
* Support stock checks and ensure that all goods are sorted, labelled, and counted accurately for stock take purposes.
* Maintain the security of the warehouse and ensure the space is clean and well-organised.
* Implement Health and Safety policies and ensure all relevant procedures are followed.
* Act as a key liaison between the inventory and operations teams for the management of quarantined items.
* Oversee the integration of the SAP system into our warehouse operations.
Requirements
* At least 5 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
* Experience using a warehouse management system.
* Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.
* Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Calm, methodical, and able to follow instructions.
* Forklift Truck (CB/RT) licence is desirable but not essential.
