Role Overview:
As a Mathematics Teacher, you will deliver engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will support students in developing their mathematical understanding, reasoning, and problem-solving skills. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high standards of teaching and learning in the department, helping students develop a strong foundation in mathematics.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire students to engage with mathematics and achieve their best.
2. Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to meet the needs of all students and encourage independent learning.
3. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting individual targets for improvement.
4. Create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident in their abilities.
5. Collaborate with other members of the department to develop and improve the curriculum.
6. Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities.
7. Communicate regularly with parents to update them on student progress and address any concerns.
8. Contribute to extra-curricular activities, such as math clubs or revision sessions, to support students' learning beyond the classroom.
About You:
We are looking for a teacher who is:
1. Qualified: A relevant teaching qualification (QTS) and a degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
2. Experienced: Experience teaching Mathematics at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 is desirable but not essential.
3. Passionate: A genuine enthusiasm for mathematics and helping students develop a love for the subject.
4. Creative: Able to deliver lessons that make mathematics engaging, accessible, and relevant to students' everyday lives.
5. Organized: Able to manage student progress, assessments, and classroom activities efficiently.
6. Collaborative: Willing to work as part of a team and share ideas and best practices with colleagues.
7. Student-Focused: Committed to providing support and guidance to help all students reach their full potential.
