Role Summary
Reporting to the Brand Strategy Director, you will be responsible for leading the strategy across pitches and projects of large and small scale commercial projects providing integrated solutions across digital, print, events etc. You will also be responsible for leading research projects & special internal strategic projects.
You are passionate about creating innovative content across all platforms and work strategically with varied team members to deliver inventive, disruptive and performing campaigns and content.
Duties, responsibilities & deliverables
1. Develop and lead the strategy and research offering of Dazed Studio within the UK and EU.
2. Partner with project management and sales lead to respond to proactive & reactive advertising sales opportunities for all Dazed Media platform and publications and corresponding social channels.
3. Work in collaboration with strategists and senior creatives across the business, particularly editorial, to lead brainstorm and proposal ideation in the pre-sale phase and for strategy (brand, creative, content) and creative proposals.
4. Package high quality proposals and presentations that deliver multi-platform client focused media solutions that leverage promotional and activation concepts, social, and sponsorship opportunities for clients across fashion, lifestyle and technology.
5. Work closely with the sales team to interrogate opportunities when there is not a clear or reasonable brief.
6. Lead, develop and craft proposal presentations that accurately deliver program opportunities with a compelling strategic marketing approach.
7. Generate white label, social and native content story ideas that integrate client’s objectives, brand strategy and products while still servicing the audience and overall tone of voice.
8. Partner with data and insights team to deliver strategy rooted in proprietary data, best in class solutions and innovation led ideas (formats, content types, technology etc.)
9. Partner with sales partners to co-pitch and respond to client requests for optimisations of ongoing proposals during negotiations.
10. Exhibit exceptional attention to detail to create best in class work.
11. Work interdepartmentally across editorial branded content and planning teams to craft business sound and strategic program packages.
12. Support the management of other strategy team members.
13. Act as an ambassador for Dazed Studio and brand guardian.

Desired Skills & Experience
1. You have 6+ years of experience in the creative / strategy industry, working on campaigns of different scales, content creation or other creative projects.
2. Experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative research (semiotics experience is a plus).
3. A keen interest in youth culture, youth audiences, innovation and experimentation leading to creative solutions for commercial projects.
4. You are aware of current movements and trends, with strong curiosity for audience understanding to translate into creative solutions for commercial projects.
5. A collaborative team player but also able to work independently.
6. You are a clear communicator, have excellent presentation skills and the ability to verbalise ideas and concepts.
7. You have the ability to work at speed, with an agile approach to regular changes without compromising on quality.
8. You have a strong sense of organisation that helps you thrive in a fast paced environment.
9. You are proactive and able to show initiative and bring ideas to the table.
