Mechanical Services Project Manager About the Company Our client is a design and build contractor specializing in project management, design, procurement, installation, and maintenance of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health Engineering Services, with a focus on renewable energy solutions. Role Overview We are seeking a candidate with experience in managing commercial Mechanical Engineering installation projects valued at £1.5 million or more. The ideal candidate should be technically skilled and commercially aware, with experience in commercial, industrial, and public sector buildings. Location: Hybrid role so must be located near office in Gloucester. Salary: Up to £65K, DOE Key Responsibilities Procurement: Source plant, materials, and subcontractors, ensuring best value. Budget Management: Monitor and forecast spending using software and spreadsheets to stay within budget. Labour Management: Analyze, manage, and control labour resources and costs. Site Visits: Ensure quality standards and timelines are met through regular site inspections. Project Delivery: Manage projects to meet contract targets and deadlines. Financials: Prepare monthly payment applications and handle cost variations. Health & Safety: Oversee risk assessments and ensure compliance on-site and off-site. Reporting: Provide work-in-progress updates to Directors. Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, and in-house teams. Tender Assistance: Support tender submissions and prepare O&M manuals. Customer Relations: Address and respond to customer needs. Key Skills Strong team player with self-motivation and organization skills. Effective communication, both written and verbal. Leadership and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Mechanical Services Project Management, HVAC systems, and commercial processes. Proficient in Microsoft Office; CAD experience is a plus.
