Nursery: Bright Horizons Cambridge Science Park Day Nursery and Preschool
Salary: £26,698 per annum

We are looking for a full time, passionate Early Years Assistant to join our Bright Horizons Cambridge Science Park Nursery.
Bright Horizons Cambridge Science Park Nursery is located on the outskirts of Cambridge City Centre. The Nursery has good transport links, being very close to Cambridge North train station and the guided busway. We also have on-site free parking available to staff who drive and a cycle park to keep any bicycles.
We offer childcare for up to 148 children per day throughout four, age specific rooms in the nursery. Each room has their own outdoor space as well as a communal garden for the children to explore in.

What you’ll be doing
10. Working as part of a nursey team looking after babies and children up to the age of 5.
11. Having daily adventures with our children through interactive play, activities, reading and helping them with their curious minds through the learning curriculum
12. Communicating with parents daily on their child’s activities
13. Provide a caring and supporting environment where the children feel safe and looked after
14. Supporting colleagues encourage the children’s development towards key milestones
15. Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding
What we’re looking for
16. Previous experience working with children ideal but not essential - Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar.
17. Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
18. Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
19. Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
20. Sound understanding of child protection and the safeguarding of children
