My client has a fantastic, very modern facility where they design and manufacture a range of electronic/electro-mechanical products.

They are looking for someone to join their Manufacturing Engineering team which consists of 4 people currently. They have another 28 people in shop floor/assembly jobs within the manufacturing department. This is a crucial role for the team to fill.
Job Purpose - Manufacturing Engineer – Electro-Mechanical products:
Your role as Manufacturing Engineer will be to oversee, support, and manage the design and build of new fixtures, jigs, and processes, along with installation, programming, and maintenance of equipment and machinery to support production of company products. This role is hands-on, and we estimate a 50/50% split between the practical and desk-based aspects of this role.
Main Skills and Responsibilities:
1. Must have some commercial experience as a Manufacturing Engineer with experience in environments manufacturing electronic/electro-mechanical products.
2. Creating and modifying programs on various pieces of automation equipment: 6 Axis robots, 3 Axis robots, Automated Paint line, and Vacuum metalising machines. You do NOT need to be highly skilled in programming robots but experience of changing basic parameters on a robot is necessary.
3. Using Solidworks (experience with any mainstream CAD package would be fine) to develop and modify designs for jigs and fixtures required to support NPI and existing production.
4. Good level of commercial experience as a Manufacturing Engineer ensuring manufacturing can deliver the day-to-day needs of the business as well as ensuring the right equipment and processes (Continuous Improvement etc.) are in place for future growth/needs.
