Senior Finance Analyst – Accounting Operations An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Finance Analyst to join our Accounting Operations team on a fixed term contract for a period of 15 months. The role operates in a hybrid capacity, based in Darlington. The role You will be responsible for Accounting Operations and Tax activities with a specific focus on defined process streams. You will be responsible for inputs into the sub-ledger and general ledger close process within a robust financial controls framework. Key to delivery in this role will be working closely with Finance and Business stakeholders. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK. The person The successful candidate will be someone who has credit control experience who is able to accurately prepare balance sheet reconciliations within the agreed timescales. You will have the ability to effectively deliver Accounting Operations Transactions including: processing transaction corrections, calling out process exceptions and providing answers to transaction queries in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of reporting and month end processes. Key to delivery in this role will be close collaboration with other teams within Finance. Taking ownership and responsibility for identified issues and discrepancies and ensuring they reach resolution is a must. You will be organised in your approach, demonstrating good time management skills to ensure delivery to agreed timescales. You will be keen to share your ideas with the team but also have passion for learning new ways of working.
