Read on and apply today The Role As an Assistant Accountant, you will ensure the smooth operation of our client's financial processes. Specifically, you will handle sales invoices, post transactions to Sage, and manage credit control processes. You will also monitor third-party payment systems, set up new customer accounts, and oversee self-billed accounts. Beyond this, you'll oversee the finance inbox, maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and process purchase orders. Keeping financial records in order, reconciling supplier statements, and ensuring timely payments will all play a key part in keeping everything running seamlessly. Additionally, you will: - Provide cash forecasts and manage cash receipts - Send monthly statements of accounts to customers - Run weekly and monthly payroll for all staff and external organisations About You To be considered as an Assistant Accountant, you will need: - Experience in a finance or accounting role - Strong Excel and Sage skills - An understanding of accounting principles up to trial balance - Good interpersonal skills and the ability to handle confidential information - The ability to manage your workload and work independently when required Other organisations may call this role Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Bookkeeper, Payroll Administrator, or Accounts Clerk.
