Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity within our CAMHS Single Point of Access team (CAMHS SPA) for a Band 7 Senior CAMHS SPA Practitioner. The CAMHS SPA provides a single access point for children and families accessing mental health services across South Staffordshire, assessing and determining their needs to ensure appropriate service provision through liaison and multi-agency collaboration.
The SPA is the first clinical contact for CYP, families, and referrers, offering consultation and advice during referral and triage phases. It is a multi-disciplinary team with strong links to wider CYP Mental Health, Health, and Social Care services, working with partners across South Staffordshire to promote preventative support and improve service accessibility.
This role is based in Rugeley with a hybrid working pattern opportunity.
Main Duties
* Work autonomously providing holistic assessments, planning, treatment, education, and advice to patients, carers, and professionals.
* Implement and evaluate the CaFSPA process, managing complex cases.
* Conduct risk assessments and management, primarily via telephone, ensuring safety and efficacy.
* Develop clinical care pathways and quality standards within CaFSPA.
* Deliver high standards of care, monitor effectiveness, and participate in staff education and management.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Degree or higher diploma in Nursing, AHP, Social Work, or Therapy with mental health focus.
* Registered with HCPC, NMC, or UKCP.
* Post-registration experience in mental health, with ongoing professional development.
Experience
* Extensive experience working with children with mental health difficulties.
* Experience in CAMHS, community care, multi-disciplinary collaboration, autonomous decision-making, and managing complex needs including risk.
