H2 Software Ltd is a small software development company based in Horsham, West Sussex, UK. We develop bespoke software for personal and business use. Our flagship product is Accredinator, accreditation software for university business schools. We are also developing a second product focused on university workload management.
Responsibilities
As General Manager, you will oversee product management and information security management, ensuring that our software solutions meet client needs while maintaining robust security standards.
You will report to the Company Director and work collaborately with the company’s relationship manager and finance manager.
Duties
Product Management:
- Define and prioritise features for H2 Software’s solutions.
- Develop a long-term product roadmap considering evolving requirements and industry trends.
- Conduct market research to understand client needs and analyse competitor offerings.
- Create sales presentations, product demonstrations, and case studies.
- Develop user documentation, tutorials, and knowledge base articles.
- In collaboration with relationship manager, manage client relationships to ensure successful implementation and feedback collection.
- Work collaboratively with the relationship manager.
Information Security Management:
- Implement and maintain ISO 27001 standards.
- Support risk assessments and internal audits.
- Manage and monitor security controls across systems and applications.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training.
- Participate in incident response procedures and post-incident reviews.
- Collaborate with cloud service providers to ensure security compliance.
Requirements
- At least two years administrative experience in a UK higher education institution.
- Willingness to be trained in H2 Software systems (including Accredinator).
- Ability to acquire expertise in business school accreditation and ISO 27001:2022.
- Proficiency with Zoom, Teams, and Microsoft Office (incl. Outlook).
- Flexibility during the work week and willingness to operate in a secure IT environment.
This role is suitable for applicants based in reasonable commuting distance from central London. The role is primarily remote, but there will be occasional in-person meetings in London Zone 1 (travel expenses reimbursed).
Background checks may be performed in line with ISO 27001:2022 compliance requirements and UK law.
Workload: 4 days per week for 12 months, with an opportunity to extend.
Your salary will be £36,130.40 pa + Pension Contributions, which is the pro rata equivalent of Spine Point 36 on the UK University National Pay Scale (August 2024).
