A leading CDM and Building Regulations specialist consultancy is seeking an experienced BSA Lead to join their team in the North West. This is a pivotal role for an ambitious professional with expertise in the Building Safety Act (BSA) and a background in architecture, design management, or building control.
The BSA Lead Role
As the BSA Lead, you will take responsibility for managing the consultancy's BSA-related services, ensuring compliance with new legislation and driving the delivery of BR Principal Design services. You'll act as a subject matter expert, working closely with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure the highest standards of safety and compliance. BSA Lead Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and deliver Building Regulations Principal Designer (BRPD) services.
2. Provide expert guidance on compliance with the Building Safety Act and related regulations.
3. Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and design teams.
4. Act as the consultancy's primary point of contact for BSA-related advice and services.
5. Hire, mentor and develop junior team members in BSA and BRPD processes.
6. Contribute to the growth and development of the consultancy's BSA services, including business development initiatives.
The BSA Lead
1. Background in architecture, design management, or building control.
2. Active involvement in the Building Safety Act and delivery of BRPD services.
3. BSA-specific training completed or actively undertaken.
4. Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and compliance processes.
5. Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS, CABE, CIOB) is highly desirable.
6. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
