Maintenance Controller (Vehicle Technician)
Do you have mechanical/motor vehicle technician experience? Are you looking for a change of working environment? Do office hours appeal to you? Then the role of Maintenance Controller could be the perfect role for you!
This role would suit a time-served Motor Vehicle Technician qualified to City & Guilds or Manufacturer standards. Using your experience, you will be authorising work in accordance with manufacturers servicing schedules and industry recognised times whilst paying attention to vehicle histories, contract type, contract duration, warranty position and within client specific authority levels.
Responsibilities:
1. Authorise work in accordance with manufacturers servicing schedules.
2. Pay attention to vehicle histories, contract type, contract duration, and warranty position.
3. Interact directly with customers, colleagues, and suppliers.
4. Work to deadlines under pressurised conditions.
5. Achieve targets, both personal and company.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Experience working in a workshop environment or similar workplace.
2. Excellent communication skills.
3. Good computer skills and keyboard accuracy, experience in Microsoft Office products.
4. Good verbal and written communication skills.
5. Good interpersonal skills.
6. A proactive approach to achieve targets.
Desirable:
1. A working knowledge of Epyx 1link or alternative work authorisation platforms (not essential).
2. Knowledge of the rental, contract hire, and fleet management sector.
3. Electric Vehicle experience.
