This is a North Central London Integrated Care System (NCL ICS) role, hosted by UCLH. We are looking for a proactive and dynamic individual with the requisite knowledge, skills, experience, and expertise to join the North Central London IPMO (Integrated Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation) team.
The North Central London Integrated Care System (NCL ICS) is the collective of all NHS Provider organisations within NCL working together with the local councils, Integrated Care Board (ICB), Primary Care Networks, community pharmacies, care homes and the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector to form a health and social care partnership.
The NCL Medicines Optimisation Network (MON) supports the ICS in the safe, effective and economical use of medicines. Two principal cross-sector committees sit within the network: the Joint Formulary Committee (JFC) and Medicines Optimisation Board (MOB). JFC and MOB focus on promoting evidence-based medicine and providing the right care at the right time and place, specifically related to medicines and/or pharmacy services, to help ensure best outcomes and use of resources in NCL. The NCL Shared Care Group coordinates the development of shared care guidelines and fact sheets to support the seamless transition of medicines at the interface.
Main duties of the job
1. Delivery of agreed NCL priority projects relating to MEP (medicines efficiency & pharmacy transformation), in particular those projects relating to cost savings, medicines safety, sustainability and the NCL medicines optimisation priorities. This will include identifying priorities for the system, project management, barrier escalation and reporting.
2. Producing or updating complex documents for projects (e.g. standard operating procedures, patient information leaflets) or those aimed at NCL health professionals and patients (e.g. shared care guidelines, position statements and memos), as and when appropriate.
3. Support the NCL Medicines Optimisation Board (MOB) chairs by providing secretariat support including and not limited to planning agendas, organising meetings and writing minutes.
4. This role is unique in that it requires working with colleagues across NCL to deliver projects across the sector.

Knowledge and Qualifications

* Registration as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* Masters Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
* Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or General Pharmacy Practice or equivalent experience

* Demonstrates a working knowledge of medicines commissioning and how this impacts on primary / secondary care pharmacy practice
* Project management, leadership or Quality Improvement qualification or formal training
