Manager, Operational Taxes, Core Asset Management
Base Location: London is the main hub however we are open to regional candidates as well.

What will you be doing?
1. Developing and maintaining a high level of technical knowledge across operational taxes and related areas.
2. Supporting the management of client relationships and projects and becoming a focal point of contact for clients within operational taxes.
3. Understanding our client's business and working with teams across KPMG to identify areas for the provision of operational tax and other services.
4. Developing and advising on cutting edge client propositions.
5. Being involved in business development and proposal activity.
6. Collaborating with KPMG teams across the UK and globally to provide the highest quality operational tax support to our clients.
7. Participating in the development of new client propositions, which will include working with technology teams to develop new solutions, taking these to market and building the delivery model to ensure the highest quality services are provided.
8. Being an advocate for KPMG and the operational taxes team and helping us grow the business through the delivery of relevant and high-quality services to our clients.
What will you need to do it?
9. Evidence of deep technical ability relating to tax or financial services – e.g., this might be a qualification in tax, audit, finance, law, regulation or significant practical experience gained in an industry role.
10. Practical experience of dealing with operational taxes within a Financial Services context – candidates with industry or professional services experience.
11. An understanding of financial markets, participants, investors (e.g., banks, brokers, institutional investors, custodians, asset managers, private equity etc) and products.
12. Good knowledge of at least one of: Withholding Tax, Transaction Tax, Information Reporting (FATCA, CRS/AEOI), Qualified Intermediary or International Tax principles.
13. Excellent project management, delegation/coaching and client facing delivery skills.
14. Familiarity of and enthusiasm to work with emerging technologies and ability to combine this knowledge with evolving tax regulations.
15. Ability to take advantage of new tax developments and create client propositions.
16. Enthusiasm, passion, resilience and a desire to continue learning.
