Associate Product Manager / Product Owner 12 Month Contract Hybrid - 3 days/ week in Burgess Hill Our client, a global IT consultancy, are looking for an Associate Product Manager to help drive the transformation of a clients rewards platform. You'll be working in an Agile software development environment with fellow Product Owners and Engineering teams to prioritize the backlog, develop user stories, and collaborate across stakeholders to deliver on loyalty initiatives. You will lead a scrum team that is focused on maintaining and uplifting our back-end bonus qualification systems. You will consult with business and engineering partners to articulate outcomes and expectations, tie initiatives to key metrics, and drive consensus around Minimum Viable Product (MVP) definitions. You'll work with execution teams to ensure delivery of high-quality and timely software products. A key part of this role will be to build and foster a culture of agility and product ownership in close partnership with technology and business teams. Key Responsibilities: Build and actively manage a product backlog of features and capabilities that are refined and prioritized in close collaboration with the engineering and business teams Connect customer experience to the platform requirements and champion the customer and business needs across engineering and stakeholder discussions. Translating features into prioritized user stories in tight coordination with other Product Owners and Product Managers Deep engagement and consultation with various architects, products owners, and business teams to understand current and future needs Full participation in and support of agile practices and ceremonies Communicate and build consensus across multiple teams in creating solutions. Collaborate with other team members to define business requirements to meet the end users' needs through one-on-one, small and large-group interviews about technology and system concepts Engage in day-to-day activities with the development team i.e., providing feedback and clarity on stories Actively manage the team backlog by insuring it is reviewed continuously, represents the most valuable items for delivery, and includes customer feedback Provide vision to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements Ensure that the team always has an adequate number of prioritized stories available to be worked by the team Collaborate on release plans and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities Be an active team member in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends Minimum Qualifications: 3 years of experience working on/with software development teams Knowledge of Loyalty Programs and associated products is desirable Building and maintaining strategic product roadmaps Maintain a healthy backlog for scrum teams Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels within the organization, including external partners Familiarity with agile and scrum software development methodologies Excellent communication and collaboration skills to consult with various stakeholders and define optimal requirements Problem solving, project management and analytical skills; ability to prioritize and complete tasks Bachelor's Degree required (or comparable experience) in Business or Computer Science disciplines (preferred) Must travel on-site to office a minimum of three days per week, in alignment with team days
