We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual with a commitment to animal welfare to join our team of Canine Carers at our busy Rehoming Centre.
We’re looking for a Canine Carer to provide the highest levels of care and welfare management to dogs in the rehoming centre, working towards preparing them for rehoming and ensuring the most suitable home is found for each dog.

As a Canine Carer, you’ll:
1. Provide exemplary daily care for the dogs in our Rehoming Centre, following Dogs Trust's code of practice and Health and Safety guidelines.
2. Educate potential new owners and the general public on the care and welfare of dogs.
3. Establish excellent customer relations for the centre.
About you:
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, able to show empathy to both people and animals. A strong team player, you'll have lots of energy and a positive attitude. Experience working with or handling dogs, knowledge of basic behaviour and health issues, and a commitment to Dogs Trust's aims and objectives are essential.

What you need to know:
A full, manual driving licence is essential, as driving is part of the role. This is a fixed-term contract covering a maternity vacancy until 31/01/2026.
