The Buyer is responsible for overseeing the sourcing and procurement of materials, ensuring that all actions are in compliance with company protocols. This position is essential for determining the necessary quantities and timing of deliveries to support production schedules effectively.
Your new role
1. Interpret bills of materials, specifications and drawings to ensure successful supply chains.
2. Ensuring that the quantities and quality standards of materials purchased are aligned to requirements.
3. Management of all component stock levels.
4. Identifying and aligning with key internal stakeholders on agreed Business Requirements and ensuring that all Goods and Services purchased meet those standards.
5. Management of existing and new suppliers.
6. Compile RFQs for identified material requirements as necessary and can interpret and analyze the links between cost, price, and margin.
7. Management and delivery of kitted parts to contract assembly companies.
8. Negotiating with suppliers to achieve market competitive pricing and acceptable commercial terms.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Microsoft Office – Intermediate Minimum.
2. Sophisticated skills in Excel and Access.
3. Good communication skills – Written & Verbal.
4. Able to prioritize workload to meet functional and business deadlines.
5. Good numeric and analytical skills.
