The Trust requires a motivated, dynamic and experienced qualified Clinical Psychologist to join our well-established team at the Harbour inpatient facility in Blackpool. You will be expected to work with complex patients, offering direct input, consultation, and clinical leadership. As a principal psychologist, you will deputize for the psychology lead alongside other 8bs in the unit. If taken on as a preceptor, you will be supported to develop competencies to work fully into a principal clinical psychology role over a two-year period.

Person specification
Qualifications
* Doctoral level training in clinical psychology or equivalent for those who trained prior to 1996, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology as accredited by the BPS.
Knowledge
* An increased level of knowledge relevant to this post equivalent to a post-graduate diploma.
* Doctoral level knowledge of research methodology, research design and complex data analysis.
* Knowledge of legislation and its implications in relation to the client group and mental health.
* Evidence of continuing professional development as recommended by the BPS.
Experience
* Experience of working with a variety of client groups across the whole life course.
* Experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for clients' psychological care and treatment.
* Demonstrable evidence of a continuing commitment to developing expertise in psychological assessment and intervention.
* Experience of teaching, training and supervising.
