Deputy Headteacher – Permanent Role in Sheffield (S10)
A highly respected secondary school in Sheffield is seeking an ambitious and experienced Deputy Headteacher to join their senior leadership team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to play a pivotal role in the strategic development of the school, driving improvements in teaching, learning, and student outcomes.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Headteacher and senior leadership team to ensure the school’s continued success. This role requires a strong leader with a passion for education, a commitment to high standards, and the ability to inspire both staff and students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic leadership and operational management across the school
* Lead on key areas such as curriculum development, teaching and learning, pastoral care, or school improvement
* Support and develop staff to ensure the highest quality of teaching and student outcomes
* Monitor and analyse school performance data to implement effective interventions
* Foster a positive and inclusive school culture, promoting high expectations for behaviour and achievement
* Engage with parents, carers, and the wider community to strengthen partnerships and enhance student support
* Ensure the school remains compliant with Ofsted and other regulatory requirements
* Act as a key figure in school leadership, deputising for the Headteacher when required
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and substantial teaching experience
* Proven track record of leadership within a secondary school setting
* Experience in leading whole-school initiatives and improving student outcomes
* Strong understanding of curriculum development, safeguarding, and school improvement strategies
* Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills000
