Project: Windows 11 upgrade for Independent Vet Care. The initial configuration will take place in the Letchworth office.
Field Engineers will complete the following tasks:
1. Onsite Activities:
At each IVC E site, the engineers will complete the following activities and record the details on the allocated job on Alpha.
2. Sign into the site with the manager and confirm that the visit can go ahead and the number of devices to be upgraded.
3. Remove old equipment (Laptop or PC) - scan the serial onto Alpha as uplifted stock and take a photo of the removed device. Take note of any damage and ensure this is captured in the photo.
4. Install new device. This MUST be a wired connection, not WIFI. If none available, use the patch cable & switch in your kit to complete the install but DO NOT leave these onsite.
5. Scan device serial onto Alpha then follow the steps below:
o Log in to the machine using Engineers Admin.
o Open command prompt (Start - Run - cmd.exe).
o Perform a gpupdate /force and wait for it to complete.
o Reboot.
o Ask user to log in with their credentials and make sure they can access the system.
6. Repeat the process for all devices onsite.
7. Securely pack all removed devices into the site tote, seal and record details on Alpha.
8. Once all devices have been upgraded and rubbish & removed equipment packed away, confirm the details with the site manager and ask them to sign off the Alpha job.
9. Complete the Alpha job before you leave the site. Contact the Ops team if you are unable to complete your job while onsite.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 08:00 - 17:00
Requirements:
* Must have a UK driving license.
* Will be going to different sites installing Windows App on computers.
