Lead and manage the day to day delivery of clinical pharmacy services to the Women's and Children's departments. To develop and evaluate clinical pharmacy services to meet the needs of the the speciality within the Families Division. To provide a framework for the safe, effective and economic use of medicine resources within the specialist clinical area utilising sound medicines management and clinical governance principles. To develop and maintain highly specialist knowledge in medicines used in the treatment of children and neonates, and be a resource for the department/Trust within the specialist clinical pharmacy area. To ensure a consistently high level of pharmaceutical service is provided in line with service objectives. To monitor, audit and evaluate clinical pharmacy service provision to the specialist area and provide regular feedback. To contribute to the Antimicrobial stewardship programme at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals under the direction of the Lead Pharmacist Antimicrobials.
