Bespak are looking for a permanent, onsite Mechanical Project Engineer for the Holmes Chapel site, CW4 8BE. The salary range for this is between £60k and £70k plus a discretionary annual bonus. Working Pattern – Monday to Friday usual working times of 8.30am to 5.00pm with an 8.30am to 3.45pm finish on a Friday. There is some flexibility on start and finish times. As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of assigned projects, from developing specifications and design documentation to managing budgets, schedules, and compliance. You'll be the go-to expert for all things mechanical, ensuring site standards are maintained and new installations meet those standards. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This includes managing contractors, facilitating commissioning activities, and maintaining comprehensive project documentation. You will also play a key role in promoting continuous improvement initiatives within engineering systems and working practices. As a Mechanical Project Engineer, your duties will include: Manage assigned projects from conception to completion, including budget and schedule. Mechanical subject matter expert for assigned projects. Develop design documentation for new and modified mechanical pressure systems. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards. Oversee construction, commissioning, and qualification of equipment. Maintain site-specific mechanical standards and ensure compliance. Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve project objectives. Mechanical Project Engineer beneficial key skills and experience: A relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Experience of managing projects in regulated environments. Proven knowledge of GMP and change control processes. Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
