Ontic, a leading licensor and manufacturer of complex engineering parts for the global aerospace and defence industries, are now recruiting for an MRO Production Planner to join our MRO division based at Staverton. Please note that this role will initially be located at our Staverton site but will likely move to a new MRO facility in Gloucestershire within the next 6-12 months. About the role: Reporting directly to our MRO Commercial Director, you will be responsible and accountable for creating and maintaining a valid Production Schedule for material and capacities by effectively balancing supply and demand for product. You will have the autonomy to make complex decisions on business issues taking into account customer service, quality, manufacturing and operational requirements. You'll coordinate workforce, tooling and material availability to meet schedule demands whilst working closely with internal stakeholders to understand capacity constraints, material availabilities and reduce lead times. About you: You'll have a great understanding of the MRO/Aftermarket environment and will have prior experience in a production planning role within a diverse manufacturing environment. You'll be proficient in MRP, capacity planning and will be familiar with shop floor applications such as Visual ERP, Syteline 10) You'll have excellent communication skills and will be able to work collaboratively with multiple areas of the business. You'll be a natural problem solver with the ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvements.
