JCA 2025 Receptionist & Administrator - Shropshire JCA Receptionist & Administrator - 2025 We are looking for a full-time Receptionist & Administrator to join our vibrant team at our Children’s Activity Centre, Condover Hall which is based just on the outskirts of Shrewsbury. Condover Hall is an elegant Grade I listed three-storey Elizabethan sandstone building, described as the grandest manor house in Shropshire, standing in a conservation area on the outskirts of Condover village. Our Administration team are the heart of our operation, from welcoming guests & dealing with queries to completing the operational administration. This is a seasonal vacancy from 27th January to 24th October 2025 with the option to return for the 2026 season. Benefits: Staff events - there are a host of events that you'll have the chance to be a part of at Condover Hall Employee discounts - Being part of Travelopia you will have access to the TravelBar, our discount app, which can save you money on every day spend such as your supermarket shop, high street purchases or even holidays within the group Friends & Family Days - become a guest and abseil or canoe with your family or friends for free in our resort The details: Up to £11.55 per hour, increasing from April 2025 Full-time position working 40 hours per week on a varied shift pattern, to be discussed in more detail during interview The role will involve working days, weekends & evenings Interviews will be conducted in January 2025 Accommodation is not available and you will need your own transport to travel to Condover Hall due to the location Day to day, your key duties will include: Running the reception desk and greeting guests when they arrive Dealing with guest questions and issues by phone, email and in person Delivering an exception standard of customer service Answering the phone and passing on messages to the relevant departments in a polite and organised manner Preparing guest arrival documents and arranging room keys Collating guest information and passing on to other departments in a timely manner, to include for example dietary requirements and meal numbers Creating a gift shop and mealtime timetable for guests Allocating guest rooms according to availability and specific requirements Organising and returning claimed lost property Keeping the Reception area notice board up to date with information Liaise with other on-site departments and our Brighton Office team Site tour visits for potential guests Additional administrative tasks based on the current operation at Condover Hall What we’re looking for: Previous administrative experience and/or previous reception experience A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Competent use of Word, Excel and Outlook is essential Excellent customer service Work well under pressure and able to organise and prioritise your own workload Happy to work collaboratively with different departments at Condover Hall and Brighton office using varied methods, but also able to work independently when needed Approachable and friendly – You’ll often be the first face our guests see when they arrive Flexibility, this role will involve some evening & weekend working Our Recruitment Team is based at our Head Office in Brighton so we may call you from a Brighton number (01273)
