Working 42 hours per week from Monday to Friday, you'll be on a 3-shift rotation covering days and nights, the shift pattern will follow an earlies (5.30AM-2.30PM), Nights (10.00PM-6.00AM) and afters (13.30PM-10.30PM) rotation. The hours hours on a Friday are slightly different. Earlies (06.00AM,-12.00PM), Nights (18.00PM- 04.00AM), Afters (12.00PM-18.00PM). So, what’s the job about? Assist with the leadership of the site engineering teams to deliver engineering plans/ Production plans, service levels & engineering strategy within quality, safety and cost parameters. Implement & deliver the engineering strategy that will develop and drive reliability, improve quality, Safety and asset utilisation via all direct & indirect reports Implement best practice maintenance principles for SHE/capital programme, care and maintenance Manage Engineering systems, structures, resource and processes and ways of working Assist with the engineering planning process that proactively manages and maintains manufacturing assets at site Involvement with the engineering stores system that ensures critical spares availability, stock control management & effective maintenance planning Involvement Responsible for the delivery of engineering KPI’s that compliment manufacturing performance, manufacturing KPI’s, and OGSM objectives Recognize best practices from within and outside the business and work with stakeholders in helping to implement these across the business whilst supporting continuous improvement opportunities. Coach and develop direct reports. Monitor and improve performance through appraisal, performance management and personal development plans to ensure that their full potential is realised Project management/deliver change initiatives Deputise for the Engineering Manager What skills are you going to bring to the team? Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications (time served apprenticeship). 3Years’ experience of operating in a medium/large automated manufacturing operation. Experience of leading an engineering team. IOSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH General Certificate. Experience of computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) and stock control systems. Experience of working with engineering schedule KPIs. Project management and leading/delivering change is desired. Knowledge of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) would be an advantage. Continuous improvement/lean manufacturing techniques e.g. Problem-Solving, 5s, SMED. More about us.
