Job summary We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Band 8a Advanced Clinical Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team, based at the Cavell Centre in Peterborough.Our pharmacists play an integral role as members of the multi-disciplinary team by ensuring medicines are prescribed and used in a way that is evidence based, safe and cost effective to the benefit of our patients. Main duties of the job The job will involve working closely with our small team of experiencedpharmacists, technicians and support workers supplying medication and apharmacy service to inpatient mental health, intermediate care, palliative care and rehabilitation wards, as well as community based mental health teams and integrated care teams, plus being part of the clozapine clinic. As part of a small team you will be involved in all aspects of the pharmacy service. The team supports patients across Peterborough and north Cambridgeshire and therefore you will be expected to travel off site on a regular basis to provide our comprehensive pharmacy service to these locations. The ideal candidate will undertake clinical pharmacy research and audit to influence practice within the Trust and inform the development of protocols and guidelines associated with the use of medicines in mental health, learning disability and community healthcare services.
