Job Title: CNC Miller Setter/Operator

We are currently recruiting for a CNC Miller Setter/Operator for our client in Peterborough. A UK-based engineering company renowned for delivering complete custom engineering solutions. We design and manufacture everything from small fixtures to fully automated test and assembly systems, tailored to exact specifications.
With a fully equipped manufacturing department, they provide rapid subcontract precision machining and expert rubber mould tooling services - including design, prototyping, and repairs.

What’s the job?
* Set up and operate CNC machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications.
* Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine machine settings and setup requirements.
* Monitor machine operation and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper functioning and adherence to quality standards.
* Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and conformance to customer requirements.
* Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and perform routine maintenance tasks as needed.
* Follow safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
* Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes and meet production targets.
Who can do this?
* Experience with CNC Machines or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
* Understanding of technical drawings.
* Excellent attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
* Solid problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
* Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
* Education and Certification: Vocational training or certification in CNC machining or related field preferred.
* Time Served in a Manufacturing Environment.
