Duties
1. Managing and delivering on medium to large scale projects.
2. Reviewing contracts to understand the scope of works and client expectations.
3. Working with all departments to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Producing installation programmes that align with fabrication and installation requirements, as well as client deadlines or contracted dates. Keeping up to date with current project positions and providing weekly reports to the Installation Manager.
4. Responsible for taking reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety, including supporting the Health and Safety Manager in producing project-specific RAMS and managing install teams to ensure they are followed on site.
5. Ensuring all projects are installed to product/supplier manuals, recommendations, and to the highest quality. Producing regular reports and working closely with clients and Polar management to resolve all site issues and snagging efficiently before the contract end date. Liaising with clients to ensure smooth handover of completed works and final sign-off.
6. Ensuring QITP process is followed, and sheets are completed during installation, signed off by the install team, checked by the Project Manager, and signed off by the client.
7. Ensuring all variations to contract are identified, captured, and issued to sales and estimating department. Managing any project delay notices and financial implications associated with them, keeping a log of communications to support Polar’s best interests (working with contract manager/commercial manager).
8. Assisting with building monthly applications and invoices to clients in line with works carried out.
9. Negotiating and agreeing costs for subcontractor labour, including raising purchase orders and agreeing monthly valuations for completed works against budget.
10. Attending client meetings to support the project team regarding site issues, financial implications, or any contractual agreements.
11. Participating in weekly meetings and daily huddles as part of the installation team.
