Minimum rate of pay: Negotiable
Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm : Mon - Fri (term time only)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supporting class teachers with lesson delivery and student engagement
2. Assisting with small group work or one-to-one support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
3. Helping with classroom management and ensuring a positive, inclusive learning environment
4. Supervising children during break times, lunch, and other school activities
Experience, Training, and Qualifications:
1. Previous experience working with children, either in a school setting or a similar role
2. A passion for education and supporting young people
3. Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
4. Safeguarding: Up-to-date Safeguarding training is imperative. If you haven't completed a Safeguarding course in the last 12 months, Prospero Teaching can provide you with a free course.
Eligibility Requirements:
1. Hold the Right to Work in the UK
2. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or be willing to process a new application
3. Provide two professional child-related references that cover at least the last two years
