My client is looking for an "NDT engineer, ultrasonic testing welds" Candidates must have experience of using ultrasonic testing (UT) as a non-destructive testing (NDT) method to inspect the integrity of welds by sending high-frequency sound waves through the material to detect internal flaws like cracks, lack of fusion, or porosity, ensuring the structural soundness of welded joints without damaging the component. Responsibilities: Calibration and setup: Setting up the ultrasonic testing equipment, including probes and couplants, ensuring proper calibration for accurate results. Data interpretation: Analyzing the ultrasonic signals to identify and characterize defects within the weld, determining their severity and location. Reporting: Documenting findings in detailed reports, including the size, type, and location of identified defects, along with recommendations for further action. Quality control: Ensuring compliance with relevant NDT standards and procedures to maintain the quality of inspection process. To find out more or apply please email your CV and details
