What skills and experience we're looking for
We wish to recruit a positive and engaging Teaching Assistant needed to support the learning of children with special educational needs across year groups, in particular Key Stage 1.
The post is to provide support to the teacher and pupil(s), specifically focussing on the pupil’s individual needs, and to motivate the child/children to learn and to achieve. We are able to consider for this role either an experienced TA or someone looking for an opportunity to develop as a TA.
Some experience of supporting children with special needs is desirable, but we are also seeking a genuine interest in working with children with special needs and a desire to develop an understanding of SEN provision. The post is a wonderful opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic adult, who has empathy with children with individual special needs, to develop their knowledge and skill in supporting them.
