What will you be doing?
As a Build Manager you will be working within Operations and support the Project Delivery teams by managing the end-to-end tasks across all build activities. Your role will be to ensure that the Build Team functions are a cohesive unit, always providing Health and Safety compliant sites acting as a Principle Contractor. You will need to fully liaise with other teams, departments and other subcontractors across the Business on programming and delivery issues, in addition to fully supporting the HSEQ Manager in their duties. You are likely to work 1/2 days at home, 3/4 days on site to survey or liaise with Site Provider and supervise build teams. Please note, sites may be spread across the UK although predominantly in the SE, thus there will be travel plus occasional nights away
This role fits within Magdalenes Fixed and Mobile Projects teamand will work collaboratively with the Head of Delivery

Magdaleneoperates as a Telecommunication Infrastructure Services Companyand ispart of the Telecom Division of M Group Services.Covering the full network lifecycle, we deliverManaged Services and Projects for both fixed and mobile infrastructure networks across the operator and utility markets.
Whatwill your key responsibilities be?
Undertake the management of Site Builds from Design Stage to handing over the complete built site to the DICI Team
Regular communication with all suppliers to ensure workloads, staff & processes are being adhered to
To ensure that all health and safety/environmental legislation is met on site.
Monitor Contractor Performance
Ensure sites are built to program & budget.
Provide supervision & support to all members of Build Team
Be aware of Commercial implications of activities arising on site.
Undertake ad-hoc visits to sites to inspect H&S, quality, and progress.
Liaise with Acquisition & Design departments on any site issues.
Carry out any other duties as requested by your manager.
What competencies are we looking for?
Full UK Driving Licence
Willingness to travel - Nationwide
Broad Understanding of M+E installations
Experience in electrical and mechanical support would be beneficial
Understanding of Temporary Works
Have good Commercial awareness in Telecoms and able to understand the impact of certain decisions for both Magdalene & Client
Excellent personnel skills and previous experience in leading, coaching & developing people in the field.
Working knowledge of H&S / Environmental Legislation CDM2015 including SMSTS / SSSTS plus NRSWA
Suitably trained to execute duties relating to design & construction.
Some knowledge of BT exchanges or networks would be beneficial.
