Office and General Manager - Product Design and Engineering Consultancy Title: Office and General Manager Reporting to: Managing Director Location: Datchet, Berkshire Hours: 20 hours per week, flexible (either 2-3 full days or spread throughout the week) Salary and Benefits: Competitive, circa £50k pro rata Introduction: One of the UK’s leading product design and development consultancies is seeking an Office and General Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and support the Managing Director and Board in strategic planning. This role, based in Datchet, offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in all aspects of managing a dynamic, friendly, and innovative business. Responsibilities Maintain Accurate Information: Ensure staff and project managers keep precise records in our practice management software. Monitor Project Performance: Track efficiency, utilization, and profitability of projects. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Managing Director and Board to set strategic objectives and priorities for operational delivery. Infrastructure Management: Ensure smooth operation and development of company infrastructure (people, systems, processes, building, and facilities). Insurance and Legal Compliance: Manage company insurance policies and ensure legal compliance. Business Continuity: Develop and maintain plans to ensure business continuity during unexpected disruptions. Health and Safety: Work with Directors and staff to uphold best practices in Health and Safety. Quality Management: Ensure the company maintains external accreditations (including ISO9001 and ISO13485) through our Quality Management System (QMS). Appropriate training will be provided. About You Leadership Skills: Proven management and leadership experience. Business Acumen: Excellent business knowledge, ideally with experience in the professional service sector.
