A trusted and established firm specializing in residential, commercial, and industrial projects, with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, on-time projects, is looking for a talented Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team.
Turnover currently stands at £20m, with plans to increase this toward £100m. The Commercial Director has an impressive track record of achieving similar growth in previous roles and has already secured £30m worth of work with NHBC developers.
The key aspect of this role is that you will be joining the journey at the very beginning and will have the opportunity to reap rewards as you progress to a senior position.
The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will manage the commercial aspects of construction projects, ensuring they stay within budget and are delivered on time. Key responsibilities include:
1. Cost estimation and budget management.
2. Assisting with tendering, procurement, and subcontractor management.
3. Administering contracts, including valuations and final accounts.
4. Producing regular cost reports and assisting with project forecasting.
Key Requirements
1. 3-5 years' experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably in construction.
2. Experience with residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
3. Strong knowledge of construction contracts (JCT, NEC).
4. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
