The Pricing and Risk Manager - Payments will be responsible for developing and implementing pricing and risk models for various verticals and sub-verticals such as distribution, rental and automotive across multiple markets targeted specifically at our merchant payments product offering. This is a greenfield role with a broad opportunity to own and develop the pricing and risk management proposition in co-ordination with our payments SME, you will likely begin by designing a strategy before helping to create a sales pricing matrix offering an off the shelf rack rate with pre-defined criteria to enable sales teams to sell independently. Next you will develop a custom pricing model assessing card turnover, interchange exposure and splits between consumer and commercial card payments to minimise business exposure to risk and maximise profit on all customer types from SME to enterprise. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills to help define and manage pricing and risk strategies in a complex matrix organization. KCS is on an exciting scale-up journey, this role is born from a desire to provide better customer payment experiences and to monetise our platform in new ways, we are bring payments in house sitting somewhere between an ISO and Payfac model, we will own the setting of pricing and also will bear transactional and pricing risk which will be instrumental to developing a safe and compelling go to market. Key Responsibilities: Pricing Strategy: Develop and model pricing for different verticals. Create a sales matrix for pricing across various verticals. Monitor and adjust pricing strategies based on market trends and data analysis. Risk Management: Assess merchant and transactional risks. Utilize our payment partner’s risk management tools to monitor and mitigate potential fraud and other risks. Develop internal risk assessment frameworks and protocols. Collaboration: Work independently while collaborating with sales, marketing, and product departments. Present pricing and risk assessments to senior management and other stakeholders. Support the sales and marketing organisations in completing custom proposals and tender docs Skills, Knowledge and Experience : Experience & Knowledge: Experience : Mid-level finance or pricing professional looking for a step up or senior level looking for a client-side role. Technical Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools such as power BI. Education : Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field desired but experience with the payment card acquiring space and interchange pricing is more important Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex matrix organization. Exposure to different geographies and legal jurisdictions Essential : Experience in the payments industry, particularly with interchange fees and risk management.
