We are looking for a suitably experienced Clinical/Counselling Psychologist, (eligibility for entry onto the HCPC Register of Practitioner Psychologists). This post can either be offered at a Band 8a or a Band 7-8a Preceptorship arrangement depending on experience. Applications from final year trainees in a Preceptorship arrangement are welcome.
We are pleased to create an opportunity for a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to work across our Community DBT (CASCADE) Service and East Hub CMHT Psychological Service. We are looking for a psychologist who is highly motivated to work with presentations encompassing risk, personality difficulties, complex trauma, mental health, and social inequalities. This is an ideal post to apply your full range of psychological skills and knowledge including consultation, training, supervision, service development, leadership, and research in addition to direct clinical work.
CASCADE is an all-ages DBT-plus service (14+) based at Thomas Telford House in Erdington, delivering comprehensive, adapted, and DBT-informed therapies, to treat core difficulties associated with severe emotional dysregulation, complex PTSD, and other co-occurring presentations. For this post, it is desirable for a candidate to be DBT trained; however, we can, as part of a development plan, offer DBT training.
East Hub CMHT Psychological Service is based at Small Heath Health Centre and provides psychological input to service users under Riverside CMHT and Small Heath CMHT. The site is easily accessible by public transport and there is also a large trust car park.
