Job Overview This exciting role as a Dialysis Unit Receptionist has become available as a secondement. As a receptionist you are the first point of contact for patients visiting the unit. The receptionist will provide a full reception service, including meeting and greeting all attendees to the unit reception area, offering a high level of administrative support to the Clinical teams, ensuring the accurate completion of registration details, maintaining computerised records, and dealing with queries in a sympathetic and appropriate manner. The post also involves participation in the running and preparation of outpatient clinics. Main duties of the job To greet patients to the unit Manage patient allocations for the week To undertake routine clerical work and associated tasks To receive telephone enquiries and deal with them in a prompt, professional manner to ensure accurate information is disseminated to designated parties To arrange ambulance/ taxi transport for patients as required Manage patient notes, folders and computer systems To work well as part of a team whilst being able to use their own initiative to provide administrative support to ensure effective high quality service is provided.
