Job overview
We are looking for an experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our fast-growing fast-paced Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) in North East Essex.
MHSTs are a new service designed to support children and young people with mild to moderate mental health and emotional wellbeing difficulties within education settings. We are a multidisciplinary team made up of Children and Young People's Mental Health Practitioners and Education Mental Health Practitioners.
Main duties of the job
* Work in partnership with schools, to support children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties and their families in the self-management of presenting difficulties.
* Work in partnership with schools, children, young people, and families in the development of plans for the intervention and agreed outcomes.
* Oversee the formulation and treatment and management plans for schools, parents, children, and young people being supported by the senior team members - using a range of specialist psychological interventions appropriate to the service, individual and group.

Essential criteria
* Experience of working in community mental health settings.
Desirable criteria
* CYP-IAPT Supervision course
* Experience of working with / in schools
* Experience of clinical leadership
* Experience of supervising staff
Qualification
Essential criteria
* Qualified & Registered Mental Health Practitioner, Psychologist, Family Therapist, Drama Therapist, Psychotherapist, Nurse, CBT Therapist, Educational Psychologist.
* Post graduate qualification in Mental Health
* Registered with the relevant governing body (e.g., NMC, BABCP, UKCP etc...)
Working with partner agencies

* Experience of working with other stakeholders, effectively managing and maintaining positive relationships.
