Job overview
This role is responsible for project managing the resourcing and recruitment plan in the context of improving WMCPC in the next 12 months, working closely with clinical and non-clinical leaders.
As Senior Workforce Lead, you will give professional and practical advice on resourcing strategies, retention strategies, drawing on NHS best practice, CIPD advice where applicable, and project managing recruitment drives, workforce planning, and programmes.
Main duties of the job
1. Responsible for delivery of complex resourcing and project management change projects requiring senior engagement.
2. Develop and deliver resourcing plans and coaching to senior leaders.
3. Manage a defined range of resourcing workstreams and projects generating documentation, data sets, and progress reports as appropriate.
4. Develop a culture of retention of staff across WMCPC.
5. Post requires high levels of judgement, analysis and interaction to drive clear solutions and recommendations that the post holder will be responsible for implementing within the remit of defined projects.
6. Provide effective and innovative leadership and management, ensuring clear direction concerning resourcing solutions and effective utilisation of resources.
7. Use professional knowledge and expertise to engage new audiences, make connections and develop relationships with key stakeholders outside of the organisation, and to project manage the WMCPC resourcing plan for the next 12 months so as to maximise the likelihood of their success.
8. Identify and work autonomously on developing the employer brand of WMCPC, work with senior managers to define the unique selling points in the local and national mental health systems, and drive forward and manage milestones and key deliverables in the resourcing plan.
9. Monitor risks and slippage and escalate issues where deliverables can't be met, but with well-considered mitigation options.

Qualifications
* Registered Professional Allied Health Professional/Nurse
* Active HCPC/NMC registration
* Educated to masters level or equivalent
* Qualification related to project management/service improvement/education.
* Demonstrable evidence of continuous professional development of relevance to practice development.
* Leadership course completion/qualification.
Knowledge and Experience
* Strong management and leadership skills proven record of motivating staff.
* Robust knowledge of HCPC/NMC standards pertaining to education and proficiency.
* Evidence of the delivery of sustainable change management and service improvement projects locally and nationally.
* In-depth knowledge and understanding of AHP/NURSING workforce issues in an acute and community trust setting.
* Understanding the role and function of workforce and education within operational service delivery.
* A collaborative and natural leader able to build and sustain effective working relationships both internally and externally to the organisation.
* Self-motivated and resilient, with the ability to preserve order to achieve objectives and have the flexibility to take the view of others.
