Finance Administration Assistant
Salary: £27,300 per annum, plus company benefits
Location: Guildford, GU1 4HD
Contract: Full Time, 12 month FTC
Shifts: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, shifts between 9am and 5.30pm with 1 hour unpaid lunch break
Work model: Hybrid (2-3 days in the office following completion of training)
Williams Lea seeks a Finance Administration Assistant to join our team!

Purpose of role
The Finance Assistant will work as part of a team to provide the highest level of customer service to our client’s Private Client department. Whilst the list of tasks in this document is not exhaustive, the Finance Assistant may cover any combination of the tasks set out below and will provide excellent customer service, performing all operations requested without direct supervision.
This includes, but is not limited to, the efficient and prompt answering of queries, adhering to all Williams Lea policies and procedures, courteous interaction with clients and visitors following the Williams Lea protocols for this service, completing all work within the agreed services levels and assisting with completing general administrative duties as required.
The Finance Assistant is accountable for maintaining the established relationship between Williams Lea and our clients. You will be able to recognise and translate the client’s needs and to translate these into a responsive service.
Key responsibilities
1. Inputting data and transferring time/information on Elite
2. Dealing with incoming/outgoing/issuing cheques
3. Transferring time entries from matter to matter
4. Matter closures
5. Digital payments
6. Treasury Sanctions check
7. Land Registry Bankruptcy check
8. Verification of bank details
9. IDs for beneficiaries (Thirdfort or certified ID and Proof of Address)
10. International Payments
11. International Bankruptcy checks
12. Credit Notes
13. Generating draft bills and the processing of finalised bills, submission thereof and subsequent following up for payment.
Personal attributes
14. Knowledge within day to day tasks i.e. raising draft bills, BACS/CHAPS and verifying bank details
15. Exceptional standard of written and verbal communication
16. Proficient multi-tasker
17. Competent with the Microsoft Office suite
18. Team player
19. Previous experience of Elite would be preferrable
