Role Summary:
We are looking for compassionate, resilient, and enthusiastic people to join our team. The role involves providing a high standard of care and creating a fun, engaging environment for children, while maintaining clear boundaries to support their development. You will be responsible for both day-to-day care and implementing therapeutic approaches to aid in each child’s personal growth and journey.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide high-quality care and support, tailored to meet the individual needs of each child.
2. Actively engage with children in recreational activities to promote positive social skills.
3. Monitor and ensure the safety of children, always adhering to safeguarding policies.
4. Maintain strong, professional boundaries while being warm and nurturing.
5. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists to support each child's needs.
6. Manage shift patterns, including weekends, holidays and sleep ins.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
1. Experience in working with children, ideally those with trauma backgrounds but not essential.
2. A compassionate, resilient, and nurturing personality.
3. Ability to bring fun and joy into daily interactions while maintaining clear professional boundaries.
4. Knowledge of safeguarding practices and a commitment to upholding them rigorously.
5. Flexibility to work shift patterns, including weekends and holidays.
6. Relevant qualification in childcare or social care (preferred but not mandatory).
7. Enhanced DBS check will be required and full vetting as part of our safer recruitment process.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £28,500.00-£31,500.00 per year (includes a minimum of two sleep ins a week)
