YOUR ROLE
As an integral part of our thriving QSHE function, your primary responsibility will be to ensure operational compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality processes, meeting all legislative, policy, and contractual requirements. You will also provide invaluable support and guidance to our operations team, helping achieve our QSHE targets and objectives.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide advice to Operations on QSHE matters, primarily Health and Safety, Health & Environment, but can include Quality and Learning & Development in support of compliance and achievement of KPIs and Objectives.
2. Complete assurance activity including internal audits and safety tours, in order to satisfy legislative, policy and contractual requirements and in line with ISO Standards (9001, 14001 and 45001).
3. Provide support to external audits.
4. Identify and develop corrective actions from internal and external audits and support Operations in the implementation of those corrective actions.
5. Support the accident reporting process by progressing accident/incident investigations and ensuring the identification and implementation of suitable corrective and mitigating actions.
6. Support a positive reporting culture by encouraging the reporting of near misses and safety concerns, ensuring suitable actions are taken to mitigate and information is fed back to colleagues.
7. Ensure that all colleagues are aware of relevant QSHE information by using the QSHE communications process.
8. Report performance against targets to the QSHE Management Team.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
1. IOSH Managing Safety (required).
2. NEBOSH NGC (desirable) or willing to train.
3. Audit Experience (required) - ISO Standards 9001; 14001 & 45001 preferable. Willing to qualify as Lead Auditor.
4. Integrated Management System Experience.
5. Demonstrable experience of relationship management.
6. Good communication and presentation skills.
7. Analytical/report writing/forward planning skills.
8. Knowledge of Word and Excel, numerate/data rational.
