5 days on-site requirement Job: Senior Project Engineer Location: Shoreditch The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the planning, engineering, and site construction support for various projects. This role will also provide technical guidance to ensure the successful completion of projects. Responsibilities: Manage all project phases, including design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and qualification, in line with the company's project governance framework. Create and maintain technical documentation for project systems following the Validation Master Plan and company standards. Oversee and manage site change controls using the Electronic Change Management System. Ensure all project changes are documented, assessed, and properly managed. Conduct technical reviews of design deliverables from the Design Consultant. Manage and review Vendor Deliverables for specialist systems within agreed timelines. Perform on-site construction quality reviews for system installations. Collaborate with departments such as Manufacturing, QA, Supply Chain, Validation, Engineering, and EHS to deliver projects successfully. Promote a strong safety culture and ensure safety performance is prioritized in capital projects. Assist the Head of Engineering with cost, schedule, and quality management tasks. Provide support in decision-making related to project schedule and cost issues. Engage with procurement and engineering standards, focusing on both technical and commercial aspects, supplier relationships, and performance management. Support the development of business cases and capital expenditure (Capex) documents for strategic projects. Oversee the budget and schedule for capital projects. Act as a deputy for the Project/Process Engineering Manager as needed. Requirements: Degree in a relevant engineering discipline. Chartered Engineer status (preferred) or working towards it. Experience in capital project execution from the client side. Proficiency in Change Management Systems and project life-cycle management. Experience in cross-functional teams, delivering complex manufacturing facility projects in a GMP manufacturing environment. Knowledge of Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations within the pharmaceutical industry. Strong understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). Thorough understanding of project management processes, including scope development, design, implementation, and closeout. 6 to 8 years of experience in project management/engineering, particularly within the pharmaceutical sector.
