Alderley Park Recruitment is currently recruiting a Marketing Manager on a fixed term contract for our notable tech client based in Manchester. The role is paying a salary of 35,000 - 40,000 DOE.
Our client, a fast-paced, award-winning, investment-backed company, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Marketing Manager to lead their marketing initiatives.
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and working closely with the Campaign Manager, Marketing Executive, and Senior Data Executive, the successful candidate will be responsible for executing the marketing strategy with a strong emphasis on lead generation campaigns for the sales team.
This is a hands-on role that requires active participation in all aspects of the marketing process, from planning and execution to performance reporting. Strong organisational skills are essential for success.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy & Execution
1. Implement the agreed company marketing strategy.
2. Manage marketing budgets and allocate resources effectively.
3. Report on monthly performance to the Senior Management Team.
4. Lead and manage the marketing team, including conducting weekly one-to-one sessions.
5. Oversee and support daily marketing operations.
6. Maintain marketing data and systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
7. Plan and support the execution of email and social media campaigns.
8. Organise and manage events to support marketing objectives.
Content & Collateral Management
1. Write and edit copy for award entries, blogs, customer case studies, and other marketing materials.
2. Coordinate with designers and external agencies when necessary to produce high-quality content.
External Relationship Management
1. Manage partnerships and memberships to maximise brand exposure and business opportunities.
2. Oversee relationships with suppliers and agencies to ensure effective collaboration and service delivery.
The Candidate:
This role is ideal for someone with experience in B2B marketing who is looking for a position with autonomy, creative input, and responsibility. Experience in marketing data management and digital campaigns is an advantage, but a broad understanding of various marketing activities is essential to drive business growth effectively. The ideal candidate will be proactive and hands-on, with a positive attitude and a strong ability to collaborate.
Key Skills & Experience:
1. Broad knowledge of traditional and digital B2B marketing activities
2. Experience in delivering direct marketing campaigns and reporting on performance
3. Strong relationship-building and organisational skills
4. Strong attention to detail and high standards
5. A proactive, dedicated, team-oriented approach
6. Ability to work collaboratively with other departments, particularly sales
7. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
8. Experience with HubSpot (preferred but not essential)
9. Adobe design experience (preferred but not essential)
