Job Description
Job Summary:
Become an integral part of the PowerGen Technical Support team. Provide technical support across all aspects of Rolls Royce Solutions power products and associated systems, from conception to end of life. Responsible for day-to-day technical support of sales solutions, aftersales, and parts inquiries, both internally and externally. Support may extend to the wider PowerGen Business unit during periods of high demand or staff absence.
Primary products include Diesel, Gas power, mtu KPP, and Battery Energy Storage Systems, with a willingness to develop knowledge in emerging products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Promote a zero harm culture by ensuring all HSQE requirements are met.
* Maintain excellent customer liaison and fulfill technical support requests.
* Provide technical support for sales, aftersales, and end users across electrical, mechanical, and control systems within the UK, Ireland, and overseas.
* Maintain project technical files, including drawings and manuals.
* Design, build, test, and commission control circuits as needed.
* Accurately record work tasks in the CEC platform.
* Lead resolution of technical issues ensuring timely completion.
* Follow up on tasks passed to the CCC to ensure resolution.
* Support development and review of work instructions, processes, and spare parts database.
* Provide technical reports and presentations to management and external clients.
* Write method statements and support risk assessments for the PowerGen BU.
* Foster liaison with internal departments and participate in cross-departmental activities.
* Visit customers and integrators to build long-term relationships.
* Attend customer witness testing when required.
* Support and deliver training programs as needed.
* Lead development of new technical solutions.
* Continuously improve technical competence and processes.
* Support the service team with technical support, including site visits as required.

Person Profile:
Enthusiastic individual with good communication skills, capable of working independently and in a team. Ability to manage tasks and prioritize effectively. Qualified or willing to work towards MTU power products and associated systems. Mechanical and electrical experience required. Willingness to travel within the UK & ROI, and occasionally overseas for training.
The role is office-based but involves some travel. Requires a disciplined individual capable of maintaining high standards.
Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office, with training provided for Rolls Royce Solutions software including SAP, C4S, CCC, MTU Go Care, and others.
Driving Licence & Passport: Full, clean UK driving licence and passport required.
Language & Literacy: Fluent in English, competent in business writing, data analysis, and process management.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years of experience.
* Qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or relevant industry experience.
* Willing to pursue Professional registration with the Engineering Council.
* GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
