The Glasshouse International Centre for Music, located on the banks of the River Tyne in Gateshead, Tyne & Wear, is looking for a part-time Step Up Strand Leader in Music Language. This permanent role requires the successful candidate to lead music language learning activities and support the development of young musicians aged 8–14 during term time on Saturdays. The appointed individual will be responsible for leading a team of music language tutors and ensuring high standards of teaching and learning within the Step Up programme.
Applicants must have proven experience in teaching and leading music language learning activities, developing inclusive music practices, and working with children and their families from diverse backgrounds. Knowledge of music education, musical and social pedagogies, and excellent organisational and communication skills are essential. The role offers a teaching salary of £19.02 per hour, including preparation time, for 1 hour per week.
