If so, we would love to hear from you Job description The successful candidate will provide clinical services as a dental hygienist and oral health promotion activity in of support of provision of general dental services for the Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) dental centres (DC), to enhance force generation and operational capability and minimise dental morbidity on operations. Person specification Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Undertaking CPD in the core subjects of medical emergencies, Infection Prevention Control (IPC), disinfection and decontamination, radiography and radiation protection, legal and ethical issues, and handling complaints, as recommended by the GDC. Carrying out and record daily maintenance, servicing and pre-use checks of dental equipment reporting defects in accordance with current equipment care policies. Working independently in accordance with DPHC Dental (D) Defence Primary Healthcare SOPs (Standing operating procedures) JSP 950 (Joint service publication, Freedom to Speak Up documents and all other relevant policy and guidelines. Managing dental records (manual and electronic), ensuring the correct hastening, receipt, despatch, registration, and storage of each Form Medical (F Med 271). Licences A full United Kingdom driving licence, or proof of engagement to obtain a full United Kingdom driving licence, to enable working from other local military dental centres. Qualifications Knowledge of range of oral health procedures; acquired through training to degree level or to diploma level plus experience to degree equivalent level. Memberships Registration with the General Dental Council (please include details on any current, spent, or impending restrictions to practice).
