We are looking for highly motivated Staff Nurse who can contribute to continuing our high standards of patient's care and be part of an active team that is progressing forward in developing improved methods of care. Our ward of M4 is an area that specializes in fractured neck of femurs.
Unfortunately, at this time we cannot accept anyone who requires flexible working or that is pre-osce.
We are a 27-bedded unit that specializes in trauma and orthopaedics along with complex elderly medicine. We are a multi-disciplinary team that is looking into innovative ways to constantly improve upon the care we provide to our patients.

Main duties of the job
The main duties will be looking after our patients who are on a ward caring for their holistic and medical needs. The role will require you to work with patients of varying needs and complexity.
We care for pre and post-operative patients that have been admitted to the hospital with a fracture to their hip.
There is a requirement with this role to also mentor junior staff/students in the future in line with NMC code.

Job responsibilities
Main responsibilities will be:
* Supervising junior colleagues and students.
* Triaging and booking in referrals.
* Cannulation and venepuncture
* IV therapy
* Venesection for which full training with a competency will be given
* Patient care pre and post day case procedure
* Mentoring student nurses with completion of the PARE documentation
